There are six types of microorganisms, fungi, protists, bacteria, and virus.
Fungi come in different forms. fungi eat all dead thing's nutrients. Mushrooms, molds, yeast, and mildew are all fungi. There are estimated 1.5 million different species. Some fungi can grow bread and helps decompose dead things. But others can very easily kill you. Protists are very interesting some act like plants and some act like plants. Protist make up 80 percent of earth's oxygen. Although they are helpful they can cause a "red tide". "Red tides" poison the oceans causing fish to die. There are two types of bacteria. The two types are Eurabacteria and Archaebacteria. "Red death" killed 20 million people. Some bacteria do help you digest things. Viruses such as Ebola can kill you. But others give you a fighting chance in nature. And we can use the virus in vaccines to get people used to the virus so when you get it your immune. Microorganisms are very different and beneficial . Some are very deadly though!!!
